This lens has absolutely minimal signs of use, basically as new. It has superb glass with no problems at all. Everything on the lens is in fantastic condition – a beautiful example.
This is a really top quality 6-element wide angle enlarging lens that will allow you to make the best possible enlargements from your 135 negatives – even to massive degrees of enlargement. It has the standard 39mm Leica screw mount common to most enlargers. As this is a wide angle lens, you will get a much bigger enlargement for any givem head height than with a standard 50mm lens, I used this lens myself for a short while until I came across a Schneider Apo-Componon HM 40mm lens. Yes, the Apo-Componon is better – but not by much. This Tominon 40mm is a seriously good lens.
The aperture works very smoothly and click stops really well. Everything is as it should be. This is a top quality lens comparable to Nikon, Schneider and Rodenstock – but less fashionable and therefore cheaper. A great lens for your enlarger or for macro use.
