This sale is for a mint condition RZ67 Pro AE Magnifying Hood (also known as a chimney finder) designed for the original RZ67 Pro but suitable for use on any RZ67 camera – Pro, Pro II or Pro IID. Mamiya never made an updated version of this finder for the Pro II – it is really quite rare and hard to find.
This finder is essentially a metered version of the waist level finder with circuitry identical to that in the RZ67 Pro AE prism finder. It is easier to accurate focus with one of these finders than it is with a prism – I use one myself more often than not. This finder includes built-in dioptre correction from -1.8D to +0.4D.
This AE finder has absolutely minimal signs of use and is in perfect working order on all RZ67 Pro and Pro II cameras. Please note that as this finder was designed for the Pro it does not include the half-stop shutter speeds found on the Pro II camera, so you can only use it in full stop intervals on a Pro II – but it works exactly as it should.
Unfortunately this is one of the very few Mamiya items that I don’t have the instructions for, but metering works exactly as for the RZ67 Pro AE prism so those instructions will give you a very good guide.
