This mounting system gives you a really quick, reliable and very solid way of attaching to and removing your camera from a tripod. It takes just a second or two to mount or disconnect the adapter for tripod or hand-held shooting. The top plate contains two sprung pins that locate in the holes near the tripod bush in the base of the camera to prevent any camera rotation while mounted on the tripod. As these locating pins are sprung, it means the adapter can also be used with any other camera that does not have this special Mamiya hole pattern.
