This sale is for a cosmetically horrible but functionally really good Mamiya 645 110mm f2.8 N lens – in full working order.
The lens focus is a bit stiff on the first turn if unused for a while but then it is fine – it really is not a problem. The iris works perfectly, with no sticking or slowing up. The optics are fine except for three patches of glue that have been added to hold the front ring in place after a service by some idiot; these have no effect except possibly directly into bright light with the wide open at f2.8, and these glue patches are fully covered by f3.5 in any case. I have tested it on my 645AFD with a digital back and there were no signs of any problems. The lettering has been gone over with green marker so looks a mess. However, despite all the the lens is otherwise fine and perfectly usable; it just looks a horrible.
A most useful and really quite rare lens with superb bokeh, equivalent to about 100mm in 135 format. Also included are both lens caps (and the built-in lens hood). An absolute bargain because of its looks. Ther last one of these quite rare lenses that I saw sold on eBay went for ?469.99 on 25 August 22; eBay # 185525709423 if you want to check it out. This one is a lot cheaper!
