Getting Started
About this website - What has changed?
The original www.ianbfoto.com website was written in 2011/2012. Times have changed - there was very little in the way of tablets and internet on mobile phones back then, so this site was in serious need of an update. It has now been rewritten (April 2021) to allow use of tablets and mobiles, which was previously pretty much impossible. Plus it is now a https secure site - which it wasn't before.
Pretty much everything is here from the original site, and I have tried to really improve finding what you want - that is the biggest change. If you are used to the old site then you will be very happy with this one! See the Purchasing section below for details. No need to log on or anything else to simply browse what is for sale. Access to the Downloads section for manuals and brochures is all there exactly as before - no need to log on or anything and it is all completely free.
Unfortunately I could not transfer old user information from my old site to this new one; sorry about that, it just wasn't possible. So you will have to set yourself up again as a user if you wish to purchase from this site.
Now you can pay through and automated payment system; no need to wait for an invoice to arrive. PayPal has been integrated to the new site; bank transfer from UK banks still gives you a 4% discount, just as before. At the moment PayPal is the only payment option for international buyers (unless you have a UK bank account).
Registering to purchase
To just have a look or to Download you don't need to register or anything. However, if you want to make a purchase you must set yourself up on the site. You only have to do this once, then its done. You can also ask the site to remember you to save logging in every time you want to make a purchase.
To Register - or to log in if already registered - simply click on the Log In / Register option at the top right of the screen :
If you try and log in without having registered, you will simply get an error message :
so please just Register first :
and you can then access everything to do with your account :
You can also now access your account from the Account option at the top right of the screen :
You can enter your address and other details at this stage if you wish. If you are not ready to do this now, then no problem - but you will be asked to do it at the Checkout stage in any case. Once entered, your details will remain on the system so that you do not have to enter them again. No financial details are stored on this site at any time.
Searching and Purchasing
Items for sale and pricing
*** 4% discount for UK bank transfer, no discount for PayPal (just as before!) *** Only available for bank transfer from UK banks, sorry. Please see the Postage and Checking Out section for details. All international purchases must be paid by PayPal at present.
I am a Top Seller on eBay (see listings for 5711ianb). None of the items listed on ianbfoto.com are available on eBay or anywhere else, although similar items may also appear on eBay. My eBay prices are typically higher than for a similar item sold through ianbfoto.com due to eBay's charges.
Please note that prices shown on www.ianbfoto.com do not include postage. Please select the service you require at the time of purchase. If you have not already done so, you will have to enter your delivery address! Postage charged at cost - I don't use postage as a way of making a profit. This site is now using an automated postage pricing and checkout system for your convenience; if you have a purchase of multiple items and would rather ask for an invoice, then please just Request Invoice instead of making a payment. You will then receive a manually generated invoice, just as with the old site.
If you can't find what you want - just ask. I may have it available - or check for my listings (5711ianb) on eBay. If you find something from 5711ianb on eBay that you want cheaper, I will give you a 5% discount for private purchase through this web site - just ask quoting the item description and/or eBay ID number. I can ONLY offer this if you have not asked me about the item through eBay's messaging system, sorry. Once you have made an enquiry through eBay then the sale of that item must take place through eBay. Another 4% discount for avoiding PayPal of course!
Searching - Find Your Item
Open the For Sale option to see all items listed for sale. By default this screen shows everything in alphabetical order (just as on the old site) - but now MUCH easier to use!
Currently the site is displaying 12 items per page. At the bottom of the page is a page selector to allow rapid movement through the listings :
On the left hand side of the For Sale screen are the fields used for finding what you want. This is new in this website - and makes things so much easier for you. There are two selection panels that you can use : Camera Model and Product Type :
So, what are you looking for? Something for a Mamiya RZ67 for example? So simply select Mamiya RZ67 from the Camera Model list :
As well as seeing now just products suitable for use on the RZ67, you will also see that the Product Type field is now populated with just items for the RZ67. So if you want accessories for your RZ67, just select Accessory from the Product Type list :
The Product Type field will also show you how many (for example) lenses are availabke for the chose camera type. Please note that Back includes camera backs, inserts, darkslides and any other items directly linked to backs. Viewfinder includes focus screens as well as actual viewfinders. Camera includes camera bodies and complete cameras (when available). Caps and Hoods includes all types of camera and lens caps, plus obviously all tyoe of lens hood. Accessory includes everything else.
How to purchase
Just choose what you want and put it in your basket. Hovering over the Basket icon will show your basket contents :
Click on View Basket to see your basket contents in detail, or simply Checkout. If you plan to pay by UK bank transfer just enter the code UKBT into the Coupon box. If you plan to pay by cash on collection, enter the code COC into the Coupon box. Both of these will set your discount to 4%; if you enter COC you will be invoiced with zero postage. Both of these options are only available for UK buyers, sorry.
Postage and checking out
Postage is now calculated for you and in invoice generated automatically. However, if you are purchasing multiple items and would prefer your invoice to be calculated manually to get the best possible postage price, just click on Request Quote and the old system of manual invoice generation will be used. Please use this option especially if you are making multiple purchases from outside the UK. Now, on the Checkout screen :
In the example above you have not entered the code UKBT, so PayPal is shown in the lower part of the screen. If you enter UKBT as the coupon code (UK buyers only) you will be sent an invoice with the bank transfer details included - this is the same account as used previously if you are a past bank transfer customer, so there will be nothing new to setup. If you prefer PayPal or are buying from outside the UK, PayPal will be selected and you will automatically receive an invoice for PayPal payment. If you prefer to me invoice manually, just Request Quote.
If you have not already done so, you will be required to enter your address and other details at this stage.
Any questions just ask.
Downloads
About Downloads - Brochures, Manuals, Information Sheets
The full Downloads section has been transferred from the old website to the new - everything is still here (plus a few extras!) just as before. Everything works just as it did before.
To download or view product information simply go to the Downloads tab on the main menu.
Can you help with additional information?
I am always looking for suitable new brochures / manuals / information sheets to add to this free resource - scans of brochures, etc, would be very welcome. Obviously just those not already shown here, and non-English versions are very welcome as they are not easy for me to find in the UK. I don't charge anything for any of this information, and it is really useful for all Mamiya and Bronica medium format users. If you think you can help with this, please contact me to take things further. Thanks!
About Us
About IanB Foto Ltd.
IanB Foto Ltd (located in the UK close to the M25 / J17 in Rickmansworth, just to the NW of London) started as a photo processing consultancy covering conventional (wet) film and paper processing (C41 / E6 / RA4 / B&W), digital printing to RA4 (Fuji Frontier, wide format RA4 printers, etc), and motion picture processing (ECN-2 and ECP-2). Typical clients included amateur (minilab) and professional processing laboratories, photofinishers, large internet printing laboratories, and motion picture laboratories. My trade was processing - everything to do with film. Consultancy services still available on request.
The main business of IanB Foto now is the supply of Mamiya, Bronica and Fuji GX680 medium format film cameras, lenses and accessories through eBay (eBay ID : 5711ianb), this web site and other routes. All equipment sold is fully tested, and serviced where necessary; a wide range of Mamiya 645, 645AF, RB67, RZ67 and C-series equipment is always available, plus a more limited range of Mamiya 7 equipment. I no longer stock Mamiya 6 or Mamiya Press, sorry. Bronica cameras and accessories also available for the ETR, SQ and GS-1 series; I do not stock the earlier Bronica S and EC series models. All Fuji GX680 models and a very wide range of lenses and accessories stocked.
I only sell what I use or have used myself - unlike most other sellers. I specialise in what I know to give you the best possible service. I never use Pentax, Hasselblad, Rollei, Contax 645 or other medium format kit, so although you may well find some information about these systems in the Downloads section, you will never find these offered for sale. Sorry!
You can also find a huge selection (650+) of Mamiya, Bronica and GX680 brochures, manuals and instruction sheets (and even repair manuals!) in PDF format in the Downloads section - all available free of charge. A bit like the well known Butkus site - but free and vastly more complete than the Mamiya / Bronica / Fuji information that you will find there (and higher quality as well!).
A selection of darkroom and other film camera related equipment is also available, especially enlarging lenses, LPL and De Vere; most not listed so just ask if you want something. If you are looking for digital cameras or lenses, you won't find them here!
IanB Foto Ltd was established in 2010 by Ian Bennell. Ian spent 12 years in photofinishing laboratories, and was technical manager for a group of 7 major UK laboratories - responsible for all technical issues (chemistry, printing, silver recovery, etc) for the processing and printing of over 25 million films per year. Ian then joined the photochemical arm of Fuji - Fuji Hunt Photographic Chemicals - in 1989, where he was responsible for techncial sales support initially in the UK but ultimately across the whole of Europe / Middle East / Africa for all Fuji / Fuji Hunt brand chemical products and processing issues. Ian left Fujifilm Europe in 2010 to set up his own business, IanB Foto Ltd.
I am serious about film!

Your item will be very securely packed for postal delivery. Items can almost always be combined for reduced shipping costs as long as the total box weight is under 2kg - please ask.
*** Please note that I require payment for any purchased items within 5 days of purchase unless a delay has been previously agreed. Payment after this may mean cancellation of your order and resale of the item. Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause. ***
