This sale is for a very usable – but not perfect – Mamiya RZ67 140mm f4.5 M/L-A macro lens, equivalent to about 67mm in 135 format.
This lens has only really minor signs of use. However, the flash sync on the lens dodgy – it does not fire a flash every time and ideally should be replaced, but I have run out of this spare part so cannot fix it. It works around 90% of the time if the flash is triggered directly from the lens, but seems to be ok if the trigger is on camera. It could be the sync socket on the camera that is playing up. but no guarantees on this. Otherwisde, it is exc++ cosmetically, with just some very fine dust inside but no fungus or haze. There is a thin <1cm long cleaning scratch on the front element, but this has no effect on images. It is still a great lens, but around half by normal price for a mint example due to the scratch and flash sync issue. The lens is supplied with both Mamiya end caps, and a copy of the instructions can be downloaded from this web site. You do not need a hood with this lens as the front element is deeply recessed.
The floating elements in this lens ensure high resolution not only in the central area but also at the edges in close-up photography. This assures exacting detail not merely at infinity but also during life size photography with extension tubes,
My price for this lens is £159.95 – an absolute bargain as Mamiya list this lens at £1200.
