Item quality - what it means

The grading of items for sale on this web site is as follows :

BNIB : Brand New In Box - as it says - brand new, unused
Mint : Used, but in perfect condition. No visible signs of use, or maybe just the very faintest sign of use, as described
Near Mint : Extremely minor signs of use, certainly nothing obvious at all
Excellent + (or exc+) : Very minor signs of use, as described
Excellent (or exc) : Typical but not significant signs of use; a carefully used item with minor marks here and there
Very Good Condition + (or vgc+) : Still really good overall condition, but quite obviously used
Very Good Condition (or vgc) : Typically quite well used with very obvious wear and tear; usually still perfect working order
Well Used : Its had a hard life and although basically ok may have minor issues, as described
User : Rough. It has had a very hard life. It works, but will have issues as described, such as obvious scratches or fungus on lenses, something not working properly although the item is still usable, etc.
Faulty : Not working or with a serious defect, as described

I will only send items with a sale price of over £30 internationally by tracked/insured post. Countries that accept Royal Mail International Tracked post for fully tracked insured shipping are as in this list : Europe: Andorra, Austria, Azores, Balearic Islands, Belgium, Canary Islands, Corsica, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, Faroe Islands, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Madeira, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Republic of Ireland, San Marino, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Vatican City. I will send items with a sale value of under £30 internationally by standard Airmail with no tracking or insurance at your own risk, or I can send to countries that accept Royal Mail International Tracked post for express fully tracked insured shipping are as in this list : Europe: Andorra, Austria, Azores, Balearic Islands, Belgium, Canary Islands, Corsica, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, Faroe Islands, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Madeira, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Republic of Ireland, San Marino, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Vatican City. The seller will not be held responsible for any uninsured items lost in transit where the insurance option has been declined or not selected by the purchaser.

PLEASE NOTE : Due to past problems, please note that the shipping charge paid by you covers ONE delivery attempt only. If the item is returned to me because of non-delivery, it is you - the buyer - who is responsible for any additional costs incurred, unless the non-delivery is due to a mistake on my part. I always advise when an item has been shipped, with as much detail as is available. It is your responsibility to make sure that the carrier can deliver the item successfully. I cannot and will not pay for any future delivery attempts, and I cannot and will not refund any postage/courier charges that I have incurred in a failed delivery.

Payments

Please pay within three days of purchase, and definitely within 5 days. If payment has not been received or there has been no communication from the buyer within seven days, the item will be resold.

-> Bank transfers preferred for all UK customers. Bank transfers from outside the UK are also welcomed for high value items above £300. Otherwise, if you are outside the UK, payment MUST be by PayPal, or credit card through PayPal. 4% discount for all bank transfer payments.
-> PayPal accepted. No extra charges for using PayPal.
-> Cash on collection always welcome. This also saves you any postage charges and gets you a 4% discount.
-> Cheque. All cheques must be drawn on a UK bank and shipment will not take place until the cheque has cleared. 4% discount for cheque payments. Be aware that this can cause delays of up to two weeks if I cannot get to a bank to pay in the cheque - but if you can live with this you are more than welcome to send a cheque.
-> eCheque. eCheques accepted if you insist, but be aware that clearing time through Paypal is typically 8-10 days, and the item cannot be shipped until payment has cleared. No extra charges (but no discount either) for paying by eCheque.

Returns Policy

Faulty or incorrectly described items may be returned within fourteen days of receipt for refund or replacement. I never knowingly sell a faulty item (unless specifically described as such), and carry out comprehensive tests on each item before selling - any known faults are always stated. However, obviously mistakes can happen - but any that do creep in will be rectified. Liability limited to refund or replacement of the faulty item.

I intend to always have happy customers - I would not be a Top Seller on eBay if I messed people about!
